Hillsboro -- Albert Bever, 85, a resident of Fountain County most of his life, died Wednesday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Bever. He had been in failing health two years. Born September 22, 1866 at Hillsboro, Mr. Bever was the son of Levi and Elizabeth Harding Bever. He was a carpenter and a member of the Hillsboro Nazarene Church. Mr. Bever was married twice, first to Flora Deer, who died in 1901. On March 28, 1906 he married Sarah Ramsey who died Nov 6, 1946. Three sons, all of whom were born to the first marriage, survive. They are Joe and Harvey Bever of Danville, Ill and Charles Bever of Stringtown. Three daughters who also survive were born to the second marriage. They are Mrs. Mary Allen, Mrs. Ellen Morehouse and Miss Ruth Bever, all of Veedersburg. Other survivors are two brothers, John P. Bever of Ridge Farm Ill and Levi Bever of Hillsboro; 3 sisters, Mrs. Mary Jane Bounell and Mrs. Pheobe Clodfelter both of Okalahoma City Ok; and Mrs. Ellen Neal of Crawfordsville and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Curmley Funeral Home in Hillsboro with burial at Rockfield Cemetery. Rev. Dwight Milliken pastor of the Nazarene Church will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home.

Albert Bever, 85 years old, died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Bever in Hillsboro on Wednesday night after a two-year illness of complications. He was born near Hillsboro on Sept 22, 1866, the son of Levi and Elizabeth Harding Bever and had spent most of his life in Fountain County.  He was a member of the Nazarene Church in Hillsboro and had been a carpenter by trade.  He was first married to Miss Flora Deer who died in 1901. On March 28, 1906, he was married to Mrs. Sarah Ramsey who died on Nov 6, 1946. Surviving are three sons by the first marriage, Joseph and Harvey of Danville, Ill and Charles of Stringtown; three daughters by the second marriage, Mrs. Mary Allen, Mrs. Ellen Morehouse and Miss Ruth Bever, all of Veedersburg. Also two brothers, John Polk Bever of Ridgefarm Ill and Levi Bever of Hillsboro; and three sisters, Mrs. Mary Jane Bounell and Mrs. Phoebe Clodfelder, both of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Ellen Neal of Crawfordsville and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held at the Crumley Funeral Home in Hillsboro at 2 p.m. tomorrow, Saturday with interment to ake place in Rockfield cemetery east of Veedersburg. – kbz
